Kongoni Network Principals and Head Teachers representatives at Kongoni Community Library for a network meeting.

Kongoni Network Principals and Headteachers met at Kongoni Community Library in December 2020 to strategize on how to manage the activities that we had planned for them for the year 2021.

Currently comprising of 7 secondary and 2 primary schools from different counties across the country, Kongoni Network was formed with the objective of improving the schools’ performances through sharing the equipment the schools are supplied with such as computers, library, and sports supplies, and many others, courtesy of our dear partners and donors.  They create competitions and collaborate among themselves for the purpose of molting students to high integrity through continuous life skills seminars, improved reading culture through the formation of Book Clubs, and become great innovators by use of the computers and unlimited internet provided for them.   The secondary schools are Kongoni Mixed school (Kakamega County), St. Catherine Girls Kesses (Uasin Gishu County), St. Agnes Girls Shibuye (Kakamega County), St. Ann Girls Musoli(Kakamega County), FS Gidagadi Mixed School (Vihiga County), Oloile Mixed school (Kajiado County) and Emanyinya Mixed School (Vihiga County).

Kongoni Community Library was privileged to welcome Kongoni Technical & Vocational College management team headed by their principal.  We had a fruitful discussion on how the library is going to serve the college fraternity.

The library was also privileged to host the students from St. Augustine Soysambu  Secondary School who paid us a courtesy call for 5 consecutive days.  The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with library skills.

Last but not least was the visit by the interfaith pastors from the surrounding churches who congregate at the library to offer their support and they blessed the facility.  They promised to inform their faithful to make maximum use of the library and also hold their retreats there when the facility is completed.
