Our traditional food

We have identified various challenges our library visitors and patrons are going through such as lack of a proper eating place.  There is also a lack of proper knowledge on nutrition as most of the ailments affecting the community are to do with poor eating habits.  Conferences on nutrition and other life skills will be helpful to the community.

This recreation facility is meant to offer space for cultural exchange in culinary.  Our visitors will have the opportunity to practice and exchange their cooking skills with the local community.  The youth are also being trained in professional cooking skills by using the books we have on hospitality as well as inviting professionals in the field to sharpen their skills.

We have set up a traditional kitchen for cultural heritage as well as the preparation of traditional meals.

The Conference room is an ideal place for meetings with school students, our library users, and the public in general on life skill matters, agricultural training, health, and other life-changing activities.   Our proximity to the Sub-county offices has made our conference hall and grounds(Dream Gardens) popular for the sub-county’s daily departmental meetings and other functions.  We believe, once fully furnished, we will also be able to attract cooperates from as far as Nairobi for their meetings and team-building activities.

We also have a VIP room where guests can hold their private meetings.
